Daly City Grass Fire, Equipment Problems Cause Major BART Delays In SF
DALY CITY (CBS SF) -- BART officials said they were recovering from major delays in San Francisco Thursday after several issues including a grass fire near the Daly City station, police activity and a disabled train.
The @SFBARTalert Twitter account posted about the fire near the Daly City station shortly after 4 p.m.
As of 4:31 p.m., recovery was underway from the delay in the San Francisco and East Bay directions.
Trains were stopping at Daly City station, according to BART.
As of shortly after 5 p.m., the transit service was still reporting major delays on all lines in San Francisco due to the earlier fire.
There were additional delays reported by BART due to a reported threat made at the Embarcadero station and an equipment problem on a train.
