Golden Gate Bridge Lanes Reopen Following Fatal Motorcycle Crash

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A fatal motorcycle crash blocked northbound lanes of Highway 101 on the Golden Gate Bridge for more than an hour Friday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported shortly before 6 p.m. on the northbound side of the bridge, just south of the vista point.

A Sig-alert was issued for all northbound lanes at 6:16 p.m., and the coroner was called to the scene shortly after that.

Several lanes reopened as the crash was cleared from the roadway, and all lanes had reopened by 7:42 p.m.
