SF Streets Reopen After Broken Window Removed From Downtown High-Rise

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) –- A street in San Francisco's Financial District reopened this afternoon after fire crews repaired a broken window on a high-rise building, according to a fire department spokeswoman.

Firefighters received a call at 10:46 a.m. about a window about to fall from the 17th floor of an office building at 275 Battery St.

Crews responded to the scene and authorities shut down the sidewalk and street below the window.

The cracked glass was removed and plywood was put up to secure the window, fire spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said.

The street beneath the building reopened around 3 p.m., she said.
