Girl Scouts Go Digital, Selling Cookies Online

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Cookie lovers will love this news: Girl Scouts are going digital, and everything from Samoas to Thin Mints are being sold online through local scouts.

The Digital Cookie 2.0 program lets scouts set their cookie goals, manage orders, and track their sales progress.  It lets buyers pay for their cookies online, using credit cards.

To order the cookies, you'll have to know a scout, or find one through your local council.

The Alameda council serves the Bay Area, and more information on the digital platform can be found here.
