Giants Fan Bryan Stow Thanks Caregivers For His Recovery

SAN JOSE (CBS/AP) — A San Francisco Giants fan who was attacked at Dodger Stadium in March 2011 has returned to the Bay Area hospital where he made his recovery to thank the caregivers who helped save his life.

KNTV-TV reports Bryan Stow walked into Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose on crutches Wednesday. It was one of the first times he appeared in public without a wheelchair since he was assaulted by two men at the opening game in 2011.

Stow began his rehab program at the center and was there for close to five months. Staffers were happy to see his progress.

Stow says his next goal is to be able to walk on his own.

The two men that pleaded guilty to attacking Stow are still in prison.
