Gas Leak Forces Evacuation Of Oakland Police Headquarters

OAKLAND (CBS SF) - Oakland Police Department employees are now allowed back into the office headquarters to gather their belongings after the building was evacuated Friday afternoon when a gas leak was discovered.

Several streets around the building on seventh street were blocked off as a result of the incident.

The leak was spotted around 11 a.m. and involved a PG&E line. The building to be closed to the public for the rest of the day as PG&E investigate the source of the gas smell.
