Gas Leak At New Apple Campus Repaired

CUPERTINO (CBS SF) -- A gas leak prompted evacuations at the new Apple campus in Cupertino Friday afternoon for about an hour.

Fire officials said a construction crew ruptured a one-inch gas line at around 2 p.m.

Firefighters cleared people out of a single building on North Wolfe Road before setting up a perimeter until PG&E could cap the leak.

The gas line was shutoff at 2:58pm.

Everything is now back to normal and no one was hurt.

The new campus is located just north of Interstate Highway 280.
