Fremont Man Killed, 2 Women Wounded In East Palo Alto Shooting

EAST PALO ALTO (CBS SF) -- Gunfire in East Palo Alto has killed a 31-year-old man and sent two women to the hospital.

Members of the police department and the county's Gang Task Force responded to reports of shots fired just before midnight Saturday in the 1400 block of Kavanaugh Drive.

Arriving on scene, officers found three victims. The two local women, ages 27 and 34, were transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

A 31-year man from Fremont was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.

East Palo Alto police are strongly urging any witnesses to make contact either through anonymous voice message or text to (650) 409-6972, anonymous email to epa@tipnow.org, or by calling police dispatch at (650) 321-1112.
