Fremont Cyclist Dies Following Weekend Crash

FREMONT (CBS SF) - A bicyclist died after a collision with a car towing a boat in Fremont Saturday morning.

The crash happened as Victor Radu-Radulescu, 57, of Fremont, was riding near the intersection of Mission and Stevenson boulevards at about 8:50 a.m., according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office.

Fremont police said Radu-Radulescu was riding on the sidewalk but either rode or fell into the street and collided with the boat the car was towing.

He was taken unconscious to a San Jose hospital and died later that day.

Visitation services are scheduled for 5 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Resurrection Church at 26050 Kay Ave. in Hayward.
