Adrian Mullen, Executive Chef & General Manager at Loft Bar & Bistro. He grew up on the East Coast, but ventured west for college.
His professional start in the culinary world began in 1992 after graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena.
After many years inside the kitchen and front of house in all manner of San Francisco restaurants he headed further south.
San Jose was calling and in 2005 he opened up LOFT BAR & BISTRO.
Outside the kitchen Adrian likes to entertain and play golf.

The menu at LOFT is all about affordable comfort food in a casual environment. It is a place for an intimate dinner for two, a family gathering or a big group or party.

Grilled Prawn Skewers
Ingredients:
Prawns (16-20 size) and Skewers
Prawn marinade: shallots, garlic, black pepper, herbs, lemon zest and juice
Lemon Butter Caper Sauce: lemon juice,butter,shallots, white pepper, salt
(capers are placed on the sauce that has been put on the skewers)
Method:
1. peel, devein prawns
2. prepare marinade
3. skewer prawns and coat with marinade
4. season and grill prawns till done
5. top with lemon butter capers sauce (lemon juice, butter, capers)
6. serve with rice and sautÈed vegetables
