Flooding Closes Down Highway 1 In Marin County

POINT REYES (CBS SF) -- Flooding caused by heavy rains closed down State Highway 1, just south of Point Reyes, in Marin County Thursday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The road was reopened by Friday morning.

The closure, which was announced on social media around 8:15 p.m., just north of Bear Valley Road in the Olema area of unincorporated Marin County.

Further east, Lucas Valley Road was closed down due to a fallen tree and power police. CHP officers said Lucas Valley Road reopened before 6 a.m. on Friday.
