6 Injured, 5 Struck By Bullets, In West Oakland Friday-Night Shooting

OAKLAND (CBS/AP) -- Police say a possible gang related shooting in Oakland left six people injured, five with gunshot wounds.

The East Bay Times reports all those injured in the shooting Friday night near a liquor store in West Oakland are expected to recover.

They say a group of people were on the sidewalk when more than one suspect walked up and began shooting at them.

Police say a stray bullet went through the windshield of a 24-year-old Oakland woman driving near the area sending glass shards into her eyes.

Officials say all injured went to a hospital and that two of the gunshot victims were eventually treated and released.
