Firefighters Quickly Contain 2-Alarm Apartment Fire In Oakland, One Displaced

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- One person was displaced by a fire that broke out Tuesday morning at an apartment in Oakland's Maxwell Park neighborhood, a fire dispatcher said.

The blaze was reported at 7:27 a.m. at a home at 4420 Penniman Ave.

A second alarm was initially called but was quickly canceled as firefighters contained the fire to the apartment where it started, fire officials said.

The fire was under control at 7:41 a.m., according to the fire department.
