Firefighters Battle 5-Alarm Blaze In Downtown San Jose Near Caltrain Station

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) --  A five-alarm blaze at a former news station in downtown San Jose has been brought under control by firefighters this evening, a fire dispatcher said.

The fire was reported at about 3 p.m. at the building that once housed the KNTV news studios located at the intersection of Park Avenue and Montgomery Street, about two blocks from the San Jose Caltrain station.

The blaze was reported to be under control at 5:47 p.m., a fire dispatcher said.

No injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire remained under investigation.
