Fire Captain Struck By Falling Debris While Battling 2-Alarm House Fire In Campbell

CAMPBELL (CBS SF) -- A fire captain has been injured by falling debris in a two-alarm house fire in Campbell that is not yet under control Monday morning, according to the Santa Clara County Fire Department.

Firefighters are still working on dousing the fire at a home at 1667 Villarita Drive that was first reported at 8:11 a.m., a fire dispatcher said.

There was no information immediately available on the condition of the injured firefighter, the dispatcher said.

Residents of homes near the house on fire were evacuated by firefighters, according to the dispatcher.
