Firefighter Injured, Home Destroyed By Tuolumne County Wildfire

SONORA (CBS/AP) — Fire officials say a firefighter was injured and a home and two outbuildings were destroyed by wildfire in Northern California's Tuolumne County that also prompted evacuations.

Cal Fire spokeswoman Lisa Williams tells the Modesto Bee the fire in the Cedar Ridge area started as two fires that combined.

Williams says she has no details about the firefighter's condition.

Three educational camps and several homes in the area were evacuated earlier Tuesday.

The fire burning about 20 miles northeast of Sonora has consumed 100 acres and it is 20 percent contained.
