Firefighter Injured Battling Fire In Oakley Home

OAKLEY (CBS SF) -- A firefighter has been injured in an attic fire Sunday evening in Oakley, according to the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District.

Dispatchers got the first report of the fire at 5:51 p.m. in the 4600 block of Lariat Lane, fire Marshal Robert Marshall said.

The fire injured an extremity of a Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighter, Marshall said. He doesn't know how severe the injury is, but the firefighter went to a hospital.

He said the fire was under control by 6:36 p.m.
