Fire Torches Residential Building In San Francisco Inner Richmond District

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A fire charred three-story residential building in San Francisco Friday afternoon.

The fire was burning at the 400 block of 2nd Ave. just south of Geary at the edge of the city's Inner Richmond district.

Flames charred the rear portion of the building but did not appear to have burned the two buildings on either side of it, although one adjacent building had some siding damaged because of the heat.

There was no immediate word on any injuries or cause of the fire.
