The fire was reported about 4 p.m. By 6 p.m., however, it was under control. No structures were damaged, and no injuries were reported, firefighters said.

Authorities say air quality may be poor as a result of this fire, and others burning in the bay area. Residents are advised to take reasonable precautions, such as closing doors and windows to prevent smoke from getting inside.
