Fire Near Mt. Umunhum Seen Across Santa Clara Valley

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- Smoke from a trailer fire near Mount Umunhum just south of San Jose was widely seen across the area before fire crews put it out Monday morning.

Cal Fire crews were dispatched at about 10:35 a.m. Monday to the fire, smoke of which was seen across the Santa Clara Valley.

It was burning at a spot southeast of the peak near Loma Prieta, according to a tweet from account representing the closed Almaden Air Force Station at Mt. Umunhum, currently part of the Sierra Azul Open Space Preserve.

There was no word of any injuries or further damage.
