Update: Cochrane Fire in Morgan Hill near Highway 101 nears full containment
MORGAN HILL — Firefighters were making progress on a fire burning by the freeway in north Morgan Hill, according to Cal Fire.
The vegetation fire was burning along northbound Interstate Highway 101 at Coyote Creek Golf Drive, Cal Fire said. The fire was originally reported at about 6 p.m. Wednesday and was reported at two acres.
As of about 8:20 a.m. Thursday, the fire had burned 72 acres and was 75% contained.
Cal Fire said crews would continue to mop up and patrol the area Thursday.
There was no word on the cause of the fire. No one was reported injured
