Fire Destroys 4 Homes Under Construction In Dublin

DUBLIN (KPIX 5) – A two-alarm fire destroyed four homes that were under construction in Dublin on Monday evening.

According to firefighters, the blaze broke out around 9:00 p.m. near the intersection of Vinton Avenue and Kinsley Street.

Embers from the fire moved to nearby hills, sparking small fires that firefighters were able to quickly put out.

Firefighters said they had trouble getting to the homes in the new development because the area has not been added to the map yet.

"We had multiple calls for homes on fire in the area, we didn't know the actual location because it's a new development and unoccupied," Div. Chief Chip Anderson said. "When they arrived on the scene, they called a second alarm due to the volume of fire."

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
