Fire Crews Retrieve Body Washed Ashore At San Francisco's Lands End

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Fire crews retrieved a body that washed ashore at San Francisco's Lands End Thursday afternoon, a fire official said.

The report of the body along the rocky shore came in at 12:23 p.m. near where the San Francisco Bay meets the Pacific Ocean, a fire official said.

A helicopter was used to help retrieve the body, she said.

Further information about the body was not immediately available.
