Female Police Officer Investigating Traffic Collision Shot, Critically Injured in Davis
DAVIS (CBS/AP) -- A female officer was shot and critically wounded in Davis, according to police and the hunt is on for the attacker.
KOVR CBS 13 reports the officer was shot around 7 p.m. Thursday while investigating a three-car crash in the downtown area of Davis near the university.
The suspect is believed to be on foot. He's described as a white man in his 20s wearing a baseball cap, a black jacket and black tactical boots.
