Fairfield Police Arrest Suspect in Fatal Shooting Saturday Night
FAIRFIELD (CBS SF) -- The suspect in a fatal Saturday night shooting in Fairfield has been identified as Michael Ruben Russo, 23, of Fairfield.
Russo, who was booked Saturday night into the Solano County Jail, is accused of shooting and killing an 18-year-old acquaintance at about 7:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of Clay Street. Officers had received several call about gunshots there, and arrived to find the victim on a front lawn. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died later Saturday night, police said.
Police did not identify the victim Sunday.
Witnesses there had given police a detailed description of Russo, who was found nearby a short time later and arrested. The firearm police believe was used in the shooting was also recovered.
