1 Killed In Fairfield Shooting Friday Evening

FAIRFIELD (CBS SF) -- One person was killed in a shooting in Fairfield on Friday evening, police said.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at about 5:45 p.m. in the 700 block of Oregon Street, about a block west of Lee Bell Park, police said.

Arriving officers found a female victim suffering from a gunshot wound, according to police.

She was transported to a hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said.

Police have not released the victim's identity as of early Saturday morning.

No arrests have been made, according to police.
