Fake Tree Trimming Crew Burglarizes San Leandro Home

SAN LEANDRO (CBS SF) - San Leandro police say men posing as tree trimming company employees stole a personal items, including jewels from a woman who thought she was getting a sales pitch on their services.

The Bay Area News Group reports that a woman living on Pearson Avenue was approached by a Hispanic man in his 20's about getting some work done on her property. At the same time, a second man snuck into the home and pocketed the jewels around 4 p.m. Wednesday.

The men, believed to be between 5'8" and 5'10", were communicating using radios and then took off in a dark SUV.
