Fairfield Police Find Man With Gunshot Wound To His Head

FAIRFIELD (CBS SF) -- Police found a man with a gunshot wound to the head while responding to a report of an unconscious person early Monday morning in Fairfield.

Officers were dispatched to an address in the 1000 block of Harding Street at 5:43 a.m.

On scene they found a 46-year-old man in an outbuilding who had been shot in the head. He was transported to a trauma center in critical condition.

Police said this is an active investigation, and further details will not be immediately disclosed.
