2 Suisun City Men Arrested After Allegedly Firing Guns In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD (CBS SF) -- Two people were arrested early Sunday morning in Fairfield in connection with a shooting.

Around 1 a.m. officers responded to the 1700 block of North Texas Street for reports of several shots fired and a white 4-door sedan seen fleeing the area, according to police.

Upon arrival officers circulated the area and located a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle attempting to leave, police said.

Officers conducted a traffic stop and detained two occupants.

Police said during a search of the vehicle officers found a loaded semi-automatic handgun, ammunition, a substantial amount of marijuana, prescription controlled substances and cash.

The vehicle's two occupants, Dubose Scarborough, 25, and Marcell Jack, 24, both of Suisun City were arrested.

Scarborough was arrested on suspicion of negligent discharge of a firearm, possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle and possession of controlled substances for sales. Jack was arrested on suspicion of possession of controlled substances for sales as well as violation of probation, police said.
