PIX Now afternoon edition 3-3-2025

Robbers pepper-sprayed an employee and customers at an Orinda business before making off with several items, the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office said on Monday.

Just before noon on Saturday, Orinda police went to a business on the first block of Orinda Way, near Santa Maria Way, for reports of a robbery.

A GoFundMe page created by the business identified the store as Hilton House Consign & Design.

The sheriff's office said several men entered the store and pepper-sprayed an employee and some customers. They then stole multiple items and left the store.

They were not found by law enforcement.

Anyone with information is asked to call Orinda police at 925-254-6820.
