Piedmont School Lockdown Lifted After Burglary Suspect Was Arrested

PIEDMONT (BCN)-- A Piedmont elementary school has been given the all-clear after being briefly locked down Tuesday while police searched for a burglary suspect who was later arrested, a police spokeswoman said.

The lockdown happened late this morning at Beach Elementary School at 100 Lake Ave., near Linda Avenue, the spokeswoman said.

There were no reports of injuries, police said.

Details on the burglary weren't immediately available from police.
