Elderly Man Fatally Stabbed In San Francisco SoMa District; Suspect Surrenders At Police Station
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A 76-year-old man was fatally stabbed Saturday in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood and a suspect has been arrested after coming to a police station to confess to the crime, police said.
The suspect was identified as 30-year-old Ryan Souva of San Francisco. Police said Souva walked into the Richmond Station at 11:42 a.m. Saturday and told officers he wanted to be arrested because he had just stabbed someone inside an apartment.
Souva was detained and officers who responded to the apartment on the 1500 block of Folsom street found the elderly victim dead inside the apartment from an apparent stab wound. His name was not immediately disclosed.
