Elderly Driver Plows Into Front Door Of Neighbor's Home In Reverse

LIVERMORE (CBS SF) -- An elderly driver backing out of her driveway crashed into the front of her next door neighbor's home in Livermore, according to police.

The 85-year-old driver was backing out of her own driveway Wednesday morning on the 1400 block of Lexington Way when she apparently hit the gas pedal instead of the brake pedal, Livermore Police said.

The car then made a backwards U-turn from the woman's driveway to the front of her next door neighbor's house, plowing into the front door of the home.

No one was home at the time of the crash, police said. The driver was unhurt.
