UPDATE: Victim Succumbs To Gunshot Wound In East San Jose

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) – The victim of a shooting in east San Jose has died of his wounds, and the case has now been reclassified as a homicide, according to police.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting around 4 p.m. Tuesday, in the 3200 block of Kawalker Lane, police said on Twitter.

Once at the scene, officers determined there was one man shot with life-threatening injuries.

Later, at 9:13 p.m., police issued a tweet saying, "This event has been updated to a homicide."

Police said more details about the case would be available early Wednesday morning.
