Drunk, Armed Man Arrested After 10-Hour Standoff With SJPD

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - Police arrested a man Friday morning who was involved in an overnight standoff with officers in San Jose.

Police said the man, who was intoxicated and armed, was taken into custody around 4:15 a.m. The standoff lasted about 10 hours.

The incident occurred at a residence on North 12th Street after officers received a report of a man pulling a gun on someone and then barricading himself inside the home, police said.

Police said there were no reported injuries during the standoff, and no hostages were taken.

Homes in the immediate area were evacuated as a precautionary measure, police said.
