Driver rescued from Mt. Hamilton mountainside after veering off roadway
A driver was rescued from Mt. Hamilton on Wednesday after veering off the roadway and crashing on the mountainside, Cal Fire SCU said.
The crash happened on Mt. Hamilton Road, near the Lick Observatory. Several agencies responded to rescue the patient.
Earlier today, E1662, Alma Helitack, & B1611 responded with @SJFD to a vehicle accident on Mt Hamilton Rd near the Lick Observatory (Santa Clara County). Multiple agencies worked together to ensure the patient’s safety & eventual transport to a nearby hospital. pic.twitter.com/VTdIE1Hi4A

A photo shows the car came to a rest on the mountainside. Crews can be seen helping the driver, and a helicopter was needed to rescue the patient safely.
They were taken to a nearby hospital, Cal Fire said. Officials did not say how the crash happened.
