Driver, Passenger Shot Along Interstate 80 In Vallejo
VALLEJO (CBS SF) -- Two San Leandro residents suffered life-threatening injuries when they were shot while riding in a vehicle on eastbound Interstate Highway 80 in Vallejo early Saturday morning, a Vallejo police sergeant said.
The 22-year-old male driver and a 24-year-old female passenger in a 2016 Hyundai Sonata suffered multiple gunshot wounds on the highway near Springs Road around 12:15 a.m. Saturday, Sgt. Drew Ramsay said.
An uninjured 20-year-old male passenger who was in the back seat drove the victims to Kaiser Permanente Vallejo Medical Center, Ramsay said.
Investigators do not yet know where the shots came from, Ramsay said.
