Driver Crashes Into Pole In Fremont, Accused Of DUI

FREMONT (CBS SF) – A man was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol early Wednesday morning in Fremont after his car crashed into a pole, according to police.

Police said officers responded to the area of Civic Center Drive and Stevenson Boulevard just after 4 a.m. on reports of a possible drunk driver.

A short time later, officers were able to locate a vehicle that had crashed into a light pole near the intersection of Civic Center Drive and Walnut Avenue.

Police said the 23-year-old male driver, whose name was not immediately available, was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
