Dog Killed In 2-Alarm Fire Near Fisherman's Wharf

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Firefighters have contained a two-alarm fire Friday morning that killed a dog in a three-story apartment building in the Fisherman's Wharf neighborhood of San Francisco, fire officials said.

The spokeswoman said the first report of the fire came in a 9 a.m. on Bergen Alley, a small alley off Hyde Street between North Point and Bay streets.

People in the area reported seeing and smelling smoke.

No injuries have been reported.

The Red Cross is responding to the fire to help any displaced residents.
