Deftones' Chino Moreno To Play Inside A Volcano

(RADIO.COM) – Sacramento band Deftones will headline Iceland's Secret Solstice festival this year, but there's a twist.

Frontman Chino Moreno has announced he will play inside Thrihnuagigur volcano on June 18th.

A press release claims this is the first time in history an artist has performed publicly inside a volcano.

Twenty lucky fans will be lowered 400 feet for the performance, which will be held inside the volcano's dormant magma chamber.

Apparently this all very safe, the last time Thrihnuagigur erupted was about 4,000 years ago.
