Dawkins Scores In 83rd, Earthquakes Tie Union 1-1

CHESTER, Pa. (CBS/AP) -- Simon Dawkins scored in the 83rd minute to give the San Jose Earthquakes a 1-1 tie with Philadelphia Union on Saturday.

Dawkins weaved through defense to even the score for the Earthquakes (4-2-3).

Chris Pontius opened the scoring for Philadelphia (4-3-1) in the 30th minute. The Union dropped to 10 men in the 59th minute when Anibal Godoy was sent off with his second yellow card.
