Daly City Man Wins $6 Million 'Set For Life' Lottery Scratcher

DALY CITY (CBS SF) -- One lucky Bay Area resident is "set for life" after purchasing a lottery Set For Life scratcher ticket in Daly City that won them six million dollars, according to lottery officials.

Lottery officials said Eugene Ruiz purchased the ticket at a 7-Eleven located at 1010 Hillside Blvd.

According to lottery officials, Ruiz was very secretive about what he would do with his newfound fortune and had yet to inform officials if would be taking the lump sum payout of about $3.4 million up front, or receive $20,000 a month for 25 years which is $6 million total.

The 7-Eleven will also receive a bonus of $30,000 for selling the winning ticket.
