DALY CITY (CBS SF) -- The cause of a Friday night two-alarm structure fire in Daly City is under investigation Saturday morning.

Firefighters responded at 11 p.m. to a fire at a two-story residence at 443 Vista Grande Ave. Arriving crews encountered heavy smoke and fire coming from the rear of the residence.

The fire spread to two homes on both sides of the residence, but firefighters said the fire caused minimal damage to the other homes.

All of the residents were able to evacuate the homes, and there were no reported injuries.

Crews were able to put out the fire and remained on scene for several hours to ensure it was extinguished.
