Daily Madden: We'll Take The Split In Kansas City

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - The Royals offense came to life and their bullpen shut down the Giants Wednesday night to take Game Two of the World Series in Kansas City.

"The Royals hadn't lost a playoff game (before the Giants win Tuesday). They were playing very well and they were playing at home," John Madden told the KCBS Radio morning crew. "Coming out of there with a split is pretty good."

The next three games are at AT&T Park in San Francisco Friday, Saturday and Sunday night.

"When you win the first one, then greed sets in," Madden said. "You're going to play two, and you think if we can come out of here with a split that would be great. But then when you win the first one, you don't want to split anymore. You want to come out of there two and 0."

Madden said the Giants will need to hit the heat to win the series.

"I think I saw more fastballs or faster fastballs (Wednesday) night than I've ever seen in my life." (6:55)
