Daily Madden: Russell Wilson, The 'Other' Super Bowl Quarterback

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is getting a lot of attention at Super Bowl festivities this week. But John Madden says Seattle QB Russell Wilson is deserving as well. "He just has 'it,' whatever 'it' is," Madden told the KCBS Radio morning crew.

"You see it in his personality. He's a natural. I think he's a natural player. I think he's a natural leader. I think he has command of everything, and it's all natural. There's nothing forced in Russell Wilson," said Madden.

Madden predicts some breakout plays by Wilson in the Super Bowl. "The other thing is, and it's going to be big in this game, is that he can run with the ball, and he can run well and he can run fast," Madden said. "When you think of Seattle, you think of Marshawn Lynch as the runner. But you have to put Russell Wilson in there, too. So, to me, that helps Marshawn Lynch. It's the combination of stopping the run of Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson.

"Russell Wilson -- you watch -- he's going to get some big plays in the running game."
