PLEASANT HILL (CBS SF) -- Rescue crews extricated the occupant of an SUV that flipped in a crash in Pleasant Hill Thursday afternoon, a county fire marshal said.

The two-vehicle crash was reported at 12:07 p.m. near the intersection of Taylor Boulevard and Norse Drive, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District Fire Marshal Robert Marshall said.

An SUV rolled over in the crash and an occupant had to be extricated. That person suffered major injuries, Marshall said.

Another person in the other vehicle was also injured, though not as seriously, Marshall said. Fire crews remain in the area Thursday afternoon.
