Missing East Bay UPS Truck Driver Found Safe

LAFAYETTE (CBS SF) -- A man who went missing after he crashed a UPS truck along a remote road in Lafayette Wednesday evening has been found, police said.

According to Lafayette police, after crashing the truck, the 34-year-old man went to a friend's house and the friend called police.

Police arrived and gave the man assistance. He was not arrested.

At about 5:09 p.m., fire officials received a report about a UPS truck that struck a tree on Hunsaker Canyon Road, and the driver was believed to have been ejected from the vehicle.

When police and fire crews arrived, they could not locate the driver and began a search.

Further details about the driver or the crash were not immediately available.
