Crews Battle Fire At Home In Castro Valley
CASTRO VALLEY (CBS SF) - Crews knocked down a fire at a home Monday night in the unincorporated Alameda County community of Castro Valley, fire officials said.
An advisory was issued at 9:58 p.m. for the fire at Lawrence and Joseph drives.
Fire officials said the fire extended into the attic. The officials were asking people to avoid the area.
According to a tweet from Alameda County Fire, "crews extinguished the fire with no injuries to family or firefighters."
Six people were displaced by the blaze and the Red Cross has been called to help them.
