Crews Contain Brush Fire Near Pleasanton's Callippe Preserve Golf Course

PLEASANTON (CBS SF) -- Firefighters battled a brush fire late Friday night south of Pleasanton before its forward progress was halted and it was contained to 16 acres, according to Cal Fire.

The fire burned in an area not far from the Callippe Preserve Golf Course. It was first reported after 9 p.m. and its advance was halted early Saturday.

Firefighters from Cal Fire were assisted firefighters from the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department.

There were no reports of structures being threatened or anyone injured nor were there any reports of evacuations of a nearby neighborhood.
