Crews Contain Brush Fire Burning East Of Brentwood

BRENTWOOD (CBS SF) -- A brush fire burning in the Brentwood area has been contained after growing to 150 acres, CalFire officials said Monday evening.

The fire is burning in the vicinity of Orwood Road, according to statement posted by the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District online around 5:15 p.m.

At around 5:45 p.m., authorities reported that fire crews were receiving air support from the East Bay Regional Parks and CalFire. As of around 6:30 p.m., the fire had grown to 150 acres.

The fire was burning in a fairly remote area and is not threatening any structures. CalFire tweeted at around 9:30 p.m. that the fire had been controlled and all CalFire resources had been released.
